We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the information below before submitting an application to IRCC.

Most foreign nationals need a temporary resident visa (TRV) or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. For information about the TRV and eTA application processes, see: Visit Canada. To find out if you need a TRV or eTA to travel to Canada, see: Find out if you need a visa to travel to Canada

TRV Application

All participants applying for a visa should apply for their visitor visa via the IRCC Secure Network by clicking on this this link: IRCC Secure Network. For a step-by-step guide on how to apply, see pages 1-3.

Biometrics

If you are required to complete biometrics, you will be issued a Biometrics Instructions Letter (BIL) after submitting your application. You may then schedule an appointment at any Visa Application Centre (VAC) to complete your biometrics. For more information, see page 3.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

If you need an eTA, apply on the official Government of Canada website. For information on how to apply, see page 4 for a step by step guide on how to apply.

Upon request and should you qualify, PDAC issues International Invitation Letters to international attendees wishing to attend the convention.

PDAC cannot accept any responsibility for Visa applications nor will it influence the processing of Visas. Please note that it may take Canadian Embassies/Consulates three (3) months to process a Visa application. Applicants must check with their respective authorities to determine exact processing requirements. For more information about Canadian government requirements for visitors and contact information for Visa offices, visit www.cic.gc.ca.

Where an attendee is unable to attend the convention because of their failure to obtain a Visa, the cancellation policy for registration fees will apply.
